Yesterday, at the bookfest, I saw David Benioff on a panel called "Page to Screen," and then I bought a copy of The 25th Hour and had him sign it. I read the prologue while waiting in the signing line, the next four chapters sitting on a wall near the signing area, over halfway while eating lunch on the Powell Library steps, a bit more while waiting for other sessions to start, and the rest just now, after I got home.

smart, friendly, cute, AND a good writer. Now I have to see what Spike Lee did with it. But I have a feeling I'll still like the book better.
