Hmm. I've begun to get messages warning me that the free trial period for this picture-mail phone toy will expire October 1, and would I like to sign up for Picture Mail to insure uninterrupted service?. Which doesn't seem entirely fair, since I only signed up for it on September 1 and it's supposed to be a two-month free trial. Probably it's because my billing cycle restarts on the 2nd or 3rd of each month, and the system is counting me as having had the trial "last month" already. But I thought the guy in the Palo Alto office said that he'd taken care of that.

I'm sure they'd be friendly enough to give me another free month if I explained the situation. But I wouldn't feel comfortable doing that, since I'm not planning to keep it up once I'd have to pay for it. I'd rather use the money to save up for a "real" standalone compact digital camera, now that it's obvious that I am liable to use it with great abandon. "Hello. I'd like to mooch off your free trial for another month and then ditch it, please." Nope. Don't like it.

Oh well. I should have got round to playing with the stuff sooner than halfway through the month. And I have had fun.

and, the month isn't over yet.
