Today being Cinco de Mayo, there was a segment on the radio on the way home tangential to it -- one thing they mentioned was how Los Angeles's Koreatown is partially morphing into a sort of Little Oaxaca. Apparently a certain Korean restaurant there, which was a nucleus of Koreatown in the first place, has gone through a few ownership changes over time, and now is a ("very good") Oaxacan restaurant (Oaxaca being a state of Mexico, btw). can't remember the name of it though. In addition to provoking thought about neighborhood change over time, it made me curious about regional cuisines of Mexico; I know next to nothing about them.

but since i need to go to bed now, i won't find out just yet.
