6 june 2003 friday

June-gloom has come upon us now, for certain. All this week, cloudy, with some misty moisty mornings, only perhaps letting up a little bit in certain spots towards the end of the day, if it feels like it. At least it's got the month right. and today is Friday, which means tomorrow is Saturday, which means I will pick up some of my photos from visiting the bro. I never take all of the pictures from a trip in to be developed at the same time, for fear that some awful accident at the processing plant will doom them all together. I prefer to risk doom a third at a time, at most. Nothing of that sort has ever happened to anything of mine. I just remember hearing of a fire at one of the processing plants that did business with my local photo store, once. This local camera shop of mine, by the way, is Paul's Photo, where my family has gone for camera equipment, advice, and a good deal of photo developing since we moved to the area when I was 5 years old. Paul was running the shop out of a smaller storefront then, which I still vaguely remember. Paul is still around; these days his son Mark (also a pro photographer) does a lot of the work of running the business. I'm not sure how often they update their web page, but they know their photography. This has been an unpaid fandom incident.
