whew. nearly forgot. busy all day. this month's picture, in case you hadn't guessed, is the skyline of san francisco zoomed in upon from some distance (hence the blue tint), visible beyond a river of fog flowing in through the golden gate (and through the golden gate only, rawther cool, more details when i finally do the regulus writeup).

this still counts as aug. 1 because it is written before going to bed in a continuation of the day that was mostly aug 1! and because it's still aug 1 in hawaii... hm. maybe. or the next time zone over. anyway. zzzz.
