Not like you couldn't guess, but I just love the Internet. I started out by Googling "whole wheat sourdough," and puttered through several pages about how to make and keep sourdough starters and bake sourdough bread. Then I learned of the "Friends of Carl," who continue Carl's policy of sending a quantity of dried sourdough starter from his 150-year-old family heritage to anyone who sends a self-addressed stamped envelope. And finally I learned that eagles (or at least one particular bald eagle) can swim. Ya just never know where you might end up when you start out.
