This evening, nearing home, I saw the thinnest of all possible moons, low in the sky of course, in a region of twilight sky that had a tint of green, as it often does to my eyes, at a certain point of evening. With such a moon you can see the whole shape of the sphere, whispers of light hinting at the farther edges, and earthlight thrown upon the grey surface. Perhaps someday I'll be capable of capturing that image with a camera.
