10 december 2004 friday

I happened to stumble across this "book meme" (from 6/14/04, in case that frontpage changes) and decided to give it a go.

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 23.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
(I interpret this as the fifth complete sentence, and not counting titles/headings.)
4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.

"While most classes of dyes are subject to light fading, chromogenic dyes are almost unique among commercially available dyes in that many of them also have poor stability when stored in the dark unless kept at refrigerated temperatures."

That's what you get when I'm at work. This isn't a book-dense office. That bit is from The Permanence and Care of Color Photographs by Henry Wilhelm, which may be the only book in my office at the moment.
