Have you ever noticed that the moon can make rainbows too? Last night when I got home, I came out of the garage and looked up, and there was a white wing of high thin feathery cloud thrown across the moon. Around the moon itself, still visible, there was a circle of moonglow, and around the edge of that were faint but definite rainbow color bands. I had to stand and look at that for a little bit. Funny how that was almost the only cloud in the sky; it certainly picked the spot where it would make the most splash.
