Some people get rid of their Christmas trees the day after. Many people leave them up for a few more days, till about New Year's. Ours once made it all the way to Easter, I think. But we might be a little bit more prompt this year, we'll see. UPDATE: The parents strongly deny that any tree of ours stayed up anywhere near that long. I could have sworn there was one year it did, but I can't say when exactly, nor provide any corroborating evidence. Mama points out that her safety paranoia would not have stood for such a fire hazard, which I have to say is a good point. So, consider the above an exaggeration into legend, unless I can find a picture somewhere someday that proves it.
