18 october 2004 monday

Today is just one of those randomness days.

How 'bout them Red Sox? I was thinking last night, upon seeing the Yankees go up 4-3 on a bar TV, that if one were aiming for the maximum amount of drama, one would want to first get as low as possible before beginning the climb up. Down 3-0 in the series and falling behind in the score, I figured the Sox had pretty well reached that lowest point. We shall see.

It is raining today. It rained also yesterday. This makes my knee creaky. But the plants, they like the rain. And it does make the morning air smell nice and fresh.

I have now moved. mostly. still a few things I need to go back for. still getting used to the new situation. my square china plates barely don't fit in the kitchen cupboards.

I wonder how many Romans noticed their country trending away from being a republic, towards something else, in the very beginnings of the changes, before it had actually happened. I am wondering enough that I may try to look for books that would tell me.
